Importing your photos

Pull photos in from your Airbnb listing or upload your own, and learn which shots make the best reels.

Every reel starts with photos. You have two ways to get them in, and we'll always pick the strongest shots for you.

Import from your Airbnb listing

The fastest way to get started is to let us read your existing listing.

  • When you add a new place, choose Import from Airbnb and paste your listing URL. It should look like airbnb.com/rooms/….
  • We open the listing, fetch the name, location and every photo, and save it as a reusable place in your account.
  • Have several listings under one host profile? Use Import from Airbnb with your profile link instead (it looks like airbnb.com/users/profile/…) and bring all of your places in at once. Untick any you don't want before importing.

Once a place is imported, its photo library is cached, so creating future reels for it is instant.

Upload your own photos

Prefer to use your own shots? Choose Upload photos and add them straight from your device.

  • Add 3 to 20 photos per reel.
  • Use JPG or PNG, up to 10MB each.
  • Higher resolution always looks better. Photos taken in landscape or portrait both work.

You can mix and match too. Even if a place was imported from Airbnb, you can switch to Upload my own instead on the photos step and supply a fresh set.

Which photos work best

We automatically rate every photo and build your reel from the strongest, most varied set. To get the best result, lean on photos that are:

  • Bright and well lit, ideally shot in daylight or golden hour.
  • Clutter-free, with tidy, styled spaces.
  • Varied, covering different rooms and angles rather than ten versions of the same view.
  • High resolution and in focus.

Which photos get skipped

Some photos simply don't translate into motion. We quietly set these aside so they don't weaken your reel:

  • Floor plans and maps
  • Graphics, logos or text overlays
  • Scenery-only shots with no sense of the space
  • Photos with people in them

When you import a listing, you'll see a summary like "12 of 18 photos look great for a reel," and you can expand the skipped ones to see exactly what was left out and why. If too many were skipped, just upload a few more of your best shots. </content>
